Urban Influence
It was time to head back to the West Coast. With Seattle in our sights, we packed our toddler and houseplants into a car and began the journey across the United States. Urban was a small team filled with talent. With only a few designers, developers and leadership, we were nimble and could build really great things fast.
Through this experience, I was involved in the end-to-end process of design. This involved talking to potential clients about our capabilities, building estimates, client onboarding conversations, strategic brand building, identity design, website user experience (wireframing), website interface design (UI), package design and so much more.
Fast forward to next experience: Embr Creative ⮕

Recognizing that not everyone is new to the industry, Daddy Gray Beard sought to cultivate a brand for high-powered, urban individuals who have a deep connection to cannabis culture. For this small group, cannabis is a lifestyle, those few that understand that not all cannabis is grown equally. Daddy Gray Beard is reaching a class of connoisseurs that treat quality with severity and look for greatness with a critical regard.

In the midst of legalization, Venna recognized a glaring void in the cannabis industry: female-centered products. With that in mind, Venna sought to build a strikingly feminine luxury brand that catered to a new audience of women: hard working moms, high-powered professionals, party girls, and those who might feel intimidated by the industry as a whole. The goal was to create something that would be eye-catching and stylish—an item every woman would love taking out of her purse and sharing with her friends. In pursuit of this objective, Venna created a comprehensive brand narrative that seamlessly integrates aspects of the cannabis industry into natural elements of the female lifestyle.
