2011 – 2015 / Art Director
Bohan Advertising
After graduating from the Academy of Art University, our family moved to Nashville, TN for a new adventure. The gateway of the south offered live music for days, hot summers and cool rivers. I joined the team at Bohan Advertising as an Art Director, and worked directly with the Design Creative Director and another Senior Art Director to visualize campaigns for new business, establish brand identity and campaign systems for new clients and pro-bono work to support the local community.
Through this experience, I expanded my skill in building a creative lens, pitching ideas, creating storyboards for commercials, understanding business challenges and opportunities and solidified design skills I learned in school.
Fast forward to next experience: Urban Influence ⮕

When they opened their doors in 2001, Smallwood Nickle had one goal behind their architecture: to look at architecture in a new way. One where a project is overseen from the first draft all the way through construction and landscaping. That the meticulous detailing from the concepting stages can be incorporated in each step of the project, ensuring a truly beautiful, as well as functional, structure. Although the mission has remained the same, in 2014 it was time for a new look to reflect the true heart and passion of the architects themselves.

Supplying Nashville with the highest quality meat and seafood available, Wild and Local takes pride in working with local farmers to ensure not only the freshest product, but also animal welfare and sustainability. With a local retail location in the Farmers Market, customer education remains forefront of their mission of better eating. We spent a day in the life of Wild and Local to ensure the new logo system developed told a story just as great and diverse as the company itself, which took home two gold ADDY awards in 2014.
Through education, fellowship and employment, Martha O'bryan is helping those that want to break the line to a better tomorrow. Located in one of Nashville's largest housing developments (as well as one of Nashville's biggest up-and-coming neighborhoods), the center strived to gain awareness not only for the center, but the families that worked endlessly to change the future for themselves and their children. The break the line campaign was developed to diminish the line between poverty and potential, hardship and hope. To learn more about Martha O'Bryan, visit their website.
